7/2011 Bitty Booties

I made this lovely pair of booties for my friend's firstborn child. I used free pattern I found at HELLOmynameisHeather. It's really simple and you can make booties either for 0-3 or 3-6 months old babies.

The return of blogging

I confess, I've been a bad blogger lately. It's almost unbelievable how time flies. I was without a computer, I was working, sewing a lot and procrastinating a tiny bit. For some reason or other the result is zero posts in two months.

I have sewn quite a few things, anyway. The first and most pretentious was a prom dress for my sister. She expressed her wishes and I tried my best to comply with those. This is a test version:

I will be posting more often from today on, so keep checking up my blog.

Happy Easter, everyone!

4/2011 + work in progress

Project n°4 are men's boxer briefs; I made them for my boyfriend. I didn't take any photo, but they are just regular boxer briefs with a little detail sewn on them. I took this pattern and modificated it, so they are fitted. I used the pattern before to make these.

I have plenty of projects on the way. Some are at the stage of patternmaking, some at the stage of sewing and some at the stage of design. Check back!

2/2011 V-neck dress

Finally, the v-neck babydoll dress from a month ago. The bodice is black jersey (very comfy), and the skirt is floral cotton blend my aunt bought about 20 years ago. :) I wanted it to be appropriate for spring and autumn seasons, so I made 1/2 length sleeves.

Dead laptop

I just wanted to excuse myself for the lack of posts. My laptop died. I will be working on my sister's PC awhile.

And since it's Valentine's day, I am offering blog readers 10% off in my shop. Use coupon code "Valen10" at check-out. The code is valid for today and tomorrow only.

New items in my shop

I put some new jewellery in my shop today. Most of it is inspired by spring, which will come in March (hopefully). I can't wait to get rid of winter clothes. :) Which season inspires you the most?
